I adopted this boy from a rescue in the Dallas Ft. Worth area after losing my favorite dachshund, Frank. He’s been the best boy and especially sweet. I can honestly say he’s never done anything wrong. They think he’s a dachshund and golden retriever mix. At the age of 7, he got very sick with an autoimmune disease called IMHA. Two blood transfusions later and lots of medication got him into remission. I was elated! Then I knew something else was wrong with his breathing. I found he had a nasal mass that extended to his brain. After radiation treatment, the little fighter is still with me at 9, chasing the ball, enjoying car rides, and going to restaurants. Lots of prayers and good doctors, and of course pet insurance, have given this special boy a longer life! Go Jesse!
