Freida was born in a Puerto Rico shelter. She was flown to Fort Myers, Florida, where I rescued her. She was 6 months old when we brought her home and was quite a wild woman. I took her to intensive training for 6 months after she devoured several pairs of glasses, shoes, pillows, etc. She did so well with her training that she only requires one more test before she can become a therapy dog. She's now very well-behaved and the love of my life. She gets along with my cat and is learning how to behave with my daughter's three cats. My daughter has helped me immensely by moving in with me to take care of all of us: me, Freida, and all the cats. It's a full-time strenuous job, and she does it without complaining.
