I found my boy Donovan at a rescue in South Florida when he was 15 months old. He is a Blue Merle Australian Shepherd. The rescue was having a tough time finding a home for him because he has a disability, Donovan has been deaf since birth. But, this handicap did not keep him from serving as a Certified Therapy Dog for the past 9+ years at area hospitals, universities, high schools, and grade schools. He knows when people are hurting and is amazing at providing the love that they need. Donovan LOVES kids of all ages (and adults too!). He does not have an aggressive bone in his body. Donovan has taught me so much and has given me so much joy and pleasure in my life. He is my heart dog and will always be so.
