I was a receptionist at a doggy daycare, and Petey was brought in by a client who found him on July 4 weekend during a terrible thunderstorm. After six months, the owner was going to send him to Animal Control, but I knew that his fearfulness would lead him to a bad ending, so I took him home with me. He was scared of everything. Even a piece of paper falling off a table would make him run upstairs and hide in the bathtub. Now he is a senior and, as for most of his life with us, he just likes lying around in the sunshine.
