Penny is now deceased as of a month ago, but she was everything to me. We went everywhere together: the beach, sidewalk sales, ice cream parlor. We even shared an ice cream cone. Penny could always tell when I was happy and when I was sad. She would come sit in my lap when I was upset and lick my tears away. She was my best friend, and I will love her always.
