I had lost my Yorkie a year prior to making eye contact with Ozzy. I was never going to let my heart get attached so deeply again. Ozzy was being held by his breeder when we saw each other. I was in the passenger side of my husband’s truck; I yelled, 'Stop, I need to get out, I need to see that puppy.' I was allowed to hold him! I have never purchased an animal from a breeder before, and there was no way I could afford what they were asking. I cried when I had to walk away, but couldn’t leave him. I sat there holding him for what seemed like hours until finally the breeder asked what I could afford. I told her, and she accepted it. Ozzy and I are now inseparable. I don’t know what I would have done if that day had ended another way. I keep in touch with the breeder and send periodic photos. Due to his color, I was told he could never have been a show dog, only ever a pet. Instead, he’s now a baby ❤️. I have four dogs now!
