Petspiration Spotlight: Louis

Louis has been an incredible friend and companion for the last nine years. I rescued him from a shelter, and he and I have rarely been apart. Two months ago, I noted that he had a slight limp and took him to our local vet, who examined him and took an X-ray, which demonstrated an osteosarcoma. The recommended treatment to extend his life was to amputate the leg and place him on chemotherapy. We accepted the recommended treatment therapy, and he appeared to be doing well. In the last few days, I noticed that he had a cough, and I took him to the vet, who took an X-ray that showed that he had metastasis in his lungs. Now we have to figure out a new plan.
