I have had Gracie since she was 7 weeks old! Immediately, she was a ‘travel dog’… the breeder was 3 hours away and she jumped in her crate in the truck, hunkered down, and didn’t make a peep on the ride down to home. Throughout the years, she has shown me what a very special dog she is… how very smart she is… how endearing and enduring she is…. Even when this last year she was diagnosed with bone cancer… a very aggressive cancer, especially in younger dogs. She was such a trooper… amputation of her left front leg… taking copious amounts of pills twice a day and of course, 6 rounds of chemo… My Gracie and I did everything we could to ward off and stop the cancer…. but to no avail… my love succumbed to the enemy in July of this year…. I have been going through major devastation…. but my Gracebud sent me a 2 1/2 year old black lab named Isla… I’ve only had her 1 week… had to drive 2 states away (CA to Washington) - 12 hours away…. and received her from a breeder retiring her… the ultimate travel dog!!
