Ten years ago, Ellie May was rescued from a puppy mill and brought to Wisconsin, where she had a litter of eight adorable puppies at the pet shelter. She is a beautiful mixture of a Great Pyrenees and a Golden Retriever. As soon as her puppies were adopted out, I met her, and she chose me at the pet shelter. We've been best friends ever since! She loves everyone she meets, especially children and people with disabilities. When people pet her, they always comment on her soft coat and her sweetness. In November 2024, we felt a lump on her neck. Veterinarians said it was inoperable due to the location. After multiple biopsies and an ultrasound, it appears to be a solid growth mass that has now grown to 14 inches from top to bottom. I'm giving her lots of love and treats, as I know her days are sadly numbered. Even though she's slowing down, she's still her delightful self. I continue to tell her that she's the sweetest dog in the world because it's the truth!
